Gosnells Golden Days is a series of short videos that were created during the pandemic as a way of virtually engaging the public with historical content while museums were unable to open. Using content in the City of Gosnells Collection, Creative Spaces worked with reknowned author and Perthonality, Richard Offen, to create short and engaging stories about Gosnells’ Golden Days. The stories have been published and shared via social media and YouTube.
Episode 1, ‘The Royals of Gosnells’, explores the history of Gosnells’ pioneering families and their significant contribution to the produce and agriculture side of the community.
Episode 2, ‘Halftime Heroes’, dives deep into the history of community sport in Gosnells. In particular, the essential behind the scenes work required for community sport to thrive.
This project was completed in November 2020.
