Creative Spaces refurbished the Mandurah Visitor Centre to support a modern, high-quality experience for visitors to the region. The project aimed to improve functionality while reflecting Mandurah’s coastal character and relaxed atmosphere.
Colour palettes and materials were selected to reference the area’s waterways and natural environment. Durable furnishings provide comfortable visitor amenities while making efficient use of the available space. A large-scale artwork, commissioned in partnership with the Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council, forms a central feature of the Centre.
The reception desk was custom designed using timber from the old Mandurah traffic bridge, embedding local history into the fabric of the space. Digital interactives support visitor engagement, while a dedicated interpretive area shares stories of Mandurah’s past and present.
The refurbished Centre offers a welcoming starting point for visitors and supports Visit Mandurah’s role in sharing the region’s stories and experiences.
