Reimagining Wonnerup House marked the beginning of a shift from traditional historic house interpretation toward a more contemporary and reflective visitor experience. The project was delivered as a transitional phase, with a limited budget and tight timeframes.
Creative Spaces managed all aspects of the project, including research, content development, design and installation. The new interpretation combines storytelling with interactive elements that encourage visitors to question and reflect, rather than simply observe.
The approach challenged conventional presentation methods while remaining sensitive to the site’s history. Interactive components invite visitors to engage more actively with the stories of the house and its occupants.
The result is an interpretation that feels considered and engaging, setting a new direction for the site’s future development.
