Creative Spaces partnered with St John Western Australia to design a series of narrative graphics that share the organisation’s history, values and ongoing role in the community. The graphics needed to work within active office environments while complementing the museum experience elsewhere on site.
The main challenge was to present engaging content without disrupting how staff use the space. Creative Spaces responded with a simple, well-considered design approach that combines photography, text and subtle three-dimensional elements to create moments of interest along circulation routes.
A balanced colour palette was developed, drawing on St John WA’s bold brand colours alongside calmer neutral tones. This allowed the graphics to stand out without overwhelming the space. Content was placed strategically so that stories could be discovered gradually as people move through the building.
The completed graphics turn everyday spaces into places of reflection and connection. The project reinforces St John WA’s identity and values, helping staff and visitors better understand the organisation’s long history and continued importance in the community.
