The Guildford Heritage Precinct is an extremely valuable precinct, not only for Guildford, but for what it represents to the broader region of Western Australia. Guildford is the only town in Perth metropolitan area to be classified by National Trust. The precinct buildings consist of a Courthouse, Cottage, Colonial Gaol and Police Quarters. They are registered on the Register of the National Estate and the State Register of Heritage Places.
The City of Swan commissioned Creative Spaces to design signs within the heritage precinct. Working closely with the Swan Guildford Historical Society’s curator and the City of Swan style guide, we designed a suite of signs incorporating silhouettes, interpretive information and historically accurate maps.
This project was completed in July 2014.
Creative Spaces worked on Old Onslow Interpretive Signs, another interpretive signage project.
