Railway House is designed to incorporate heritage and tourism within the newly developed Busselton Foreshore Precinct. ‘Railway Hall’ is a heritage building associated with the timber industry and was formerly a passenger terminal for trains running from Perth through to Busselton. The building now serves as an interpretive and function centre for the community. It is home to the historic Ballaarat Engine (the oldest remaining engine in Australia), which has recently been restored to its former glory by a dedicated group of volunteers.
Creative Spaces worked closely with Hocking Heritage Studio and the City of Busselton to design a large mural, interpretive panels (to celebrate the Engine, the local rail network and timber industry, and the history of the Busselton Jetty precinct), a timeline and cut-out timber workers that provide a backdrop for photo opportunities.
This project was completed in March 2017.

Creative Spaces worked on the Festival of Busselton Exhibition Design, which was also located at Railway House.
